What to do after a car crash

Planning

Having a car crash is stressful, so having a idea of what to do before it happens is just good planning

Not every crash is going to be a major incident and if you drive safely and patiently you'll avoid the worst of it. In the event you do have a fender bender this is what you need to know.

Here it is in a nut shell. Police need to be called if they are needed to direct traffic or deal with hazards, anyone is injured, if any driver is appears affected by drugs or alcohol or if anyone involved has failed to exchange details. Police don't need to attend every crash but you are REQUIRED to stop if you're involved.

It's best explained in the flyer below produced by the NSW Police, you might like to keep a copy in the car for future reference.
